When We Repeat Past Mistakes

1. Israel followed man’s scheming ways (12:1-6)

2. Israel forgot God’s saving works (12:7-14)

When Bad Can Become Worse

1.    Israel failed to seize the opportunities to turn back (7:1-2)

2.    Israel failed to see the seriousness  of their sins (7:3-9)

3.    Israel failed to seal off influences that were bad (7:10-12)

4.    Israel failed to seek the Lord with their hearts (7:13-16)

When People Walk Out on God

1. God charged the people for walking out on Him (4:1-3)

2. God indicted both people & leaders for their walk out on Him (4:4-6)

3. God detailed their sin & judgment arising from their walk out on Him (4:6-14)

4. God used the consequences to show them the price of walking out on Him (4:15-19)

When an Unfaithful People Face The Faithful God 

1. Setting (1:1)

2. God instructed Hosea to take Gomer as wife (1:2-3)

3. God instructed Hosea to name His children accordingly (1:4-9)

4. God promised to restore Israel  (1:10-2:1)
